Fingerprint is India's youngest, independent publishing imprint. We are keen to bring out quality books on a commercial scale in fiction and select genres in non-fiction.

Fingerprint is owned by the publishing cell of Prakash Books, which has published some of India's finest coffee-table books over the years. Fingerprint drives this cell's foray into commercial paperbacks that are easy on the pocket.

The distribution cell of Prakash Books is one of India's largest, and has been in business for over 65 years. It is the exclusive distributor of all Penguin India titles in northern India, Random House titles in western India and is also one of the leading distributors for other major publishers such as Harper Collins, Hachette and Pan Macmillan.

Prakash Books was also the sole distribution partner of Amish Tripathi's famous debut bestseller, The Immortals of Meluha (soon to be made into a major motion picture by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions), in the first year of its publication.

With Prakash Books backing them, authors published under Fingerprint have an assured reach into more than 3,000 bookstores across India and abroad, including all the wheeler stores on stations across the huge network of the Indian Railways, bookstore chains such as Crossword, Landmark, Oxford and Granth, as well as all major online booksellers such as Flipkart, uRead, Amazon, Infibeam, etc.

The digital titles of all titles published under Fingerprint also get simultaneously released worldwide as e-books for Kindle, iBooks (Apple) and Google Books.
