Author Compensation

  1. The author holds the copyright on the complete text of the published manuscript.
  2. Fingerprint holds the copyright on the published book. The writer retains the right to be morally identified as the author of the book.
  3. The agreement to publish is finalized with each author on an individual basis. The terms are open to negotiation for both Fingerprint and the author.

In general, Fingerprint pays authors, on the retail price of each printed book, a total royalty of 10% on the first and subsequent editions as well as other language edition sold across the world. For the digital version of the same, sold as an e-book, the author earns a royalty of 30%.

For rights sold for any other purpose besides publishing, the author earns a royalty of 30% from revenues.

We do commission Authors as well & are open to discuss advance royalties.
