We currently have full-time openings in the following positions:

Copy Editor 
English Language/English Literature/Mass Communication/Journalism graduates and/or post-graduates who are passionate about wordplay and publishing good literature. Should have excellent command over language, good critical thinking skills in order to recognize inconsistencies, interpersonal skills for dealing with authors, and an eye for detail. Must be extremely passionate about reading books. 1-2+ years of editing experience in the publishing industry is a plus. Other Humanities graduates are also welcome.

Senior Editor (One opening)
All the above-mentioned skills in the copy editor’s position PLUS at least 5-6 years of copy editing/copy writing experience in the publishing industry. Will have to work with authors, agents, and also manage a team of copy-editors. Should have a good command over long-form writing and a discipline for deadlines.

Marketing Manager (One opening)

Looking for a person who can help in brand building. Will be required to build good relationships with editors and reviewers in main-line media as well as online bloggers to obtain reviews for our titles. Constantly work with Authors, Retailers and Publishing director to organize events, book launches, and other promotional activities. Should be creative and will be required present executable marketing ideas to promote our titles. Should have a handle on literary festivals and awards and should be able to organize and pitch Fingerprint! titles for the same. Should be able to analyse sales figures and work with distribution and sales team, as well as work with retailers for better display. Will also be responsible for organizing book tours. Good communication skills and basic writing skills are a must. 2-4+ years experience in Marketing required.

Marketing assistant (One opening)
We’re looking for a person who can independently handle social media marketing and brand building for Fingerprint!. Marketing or journalism degree a plus. Should be self-motivated, hungry for challenges, and looking to make an immediate impact. Should be fully entrenched in the social media culture. This position also entails working with the marketing manager to contact and follow-up with media, prepare press packages, and work with authors. Good communication skills are a must.  Should enjoy writing and be good at it, and have strong proofreading capabilities. Should be efficient and an organized individual. 2+ years of social media marketing experience on all major social media platforms—Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, YouTube etc. a plus.
